In this exhibition both artists have explored their love of natural themes of the Australian environment, with worksconnected through depictions of familiar birds and plants.
Through watercolour and acrylic painting, as well as traditional printmaking techniques, the artists have approached similar subjects with an emphasis on colour, shape, line, and form.
While each artist’s exploration of subject matter is unique, there is a common thread in the emphasis on colour as both a descriptive and compositional element.
Both Terri and Michelle are influenced strongly by traditional printmaking, having explored copperplate and drypoint etching, lithography and relief printing techniques.
As emerging regional artists, Terri and Michelle have connected through their regular artistic collaborations, engaging in printmaking and studio sessions, exchanging ideas and exploring artistic themes and media.
For both artists, their link to the broader artistic community is significant.
They are actively involved in promoting creative activity and contributing to the local artistic landscape of regional Victoria.
This exhibition delves into the natural themes that have preoccupied both artists, while simultaneously celebrating the collaborative approach that characterises the artistic connection between regional women artists.

Terri is one of the talented local artists whose work is on display at the Old Courthouse Gallery in Seymour, Victoria. As a member of the Seymour and District Art Society, Terri is part of a wonderful community of regional artists who work to support creativity and promote visual arts in regional Victoria.
