Flights of Fancy

In keeping with national bird month of ‘Birdtober’ this exhibition, entitled ‘Flights of Fancy’ celebrates the wonderful world of birds through a variety of mediums.

Trained as both an illustrator and visual artist, Terri has always focused on her surroundings.  In this exhibition she has depicting the natural environment of central Victoria, and in particular, the birds that frequent in and around her home.

As a result, Flights of Fancy reflects the artist’s interaction and observations of the birds that she sees almost daily. While there are a number of different species of birds, there is focus in the exhibition on the parrots that are her regular visitors– including galahs, sulphur crested cockatoos and rainbow lorikeets. 

Her birds have been depicted in a variety of media, including watercolour, pen and ink and in print (etchings, lithograph and linocut),  with the focus on character, colour and form

Terri is very excited to have her first solo gallery exhibition hosted by the Old Auction House Gallery, in Kyneton, Victoria.  All works will be on display and for sale, with Terri also attending the exhibition for a Meet the Artist session on Saturday, 9th Oct.
